Water Insulation systems

What is Waterproofing?

The processes carried out on the surface of the building envelope in order to protect the buildings against water and moisture that may come from the interior or exterior environment are called 'waterproofing'.

How Does Water Contact Structures?

Precipitation such as rain, snow, and hail are the elements that allow the soil to easily trap moisture. Use of water in wet areas such as utility waters, bathrooms and toilets threatens the structure, as well as the same impact from the pressurized or non-pressurized underground waters on the ground on which the building is built. Water absorbed by the building elements by capillary means: Water hitting the façade may infiltrate due to rain, wind and pressure through infiltration. By condensation: If the temperature distribution in the structural element section is below the saturation temperature of the water vapor, condensation occurs on the surface or in the intermediate sections.
